Persimmon Circle members are loyal and generous friends of the YW whose leadership giving and deep commitment to the organization set an example, inspire others, and make a significant contribution to our mission to eliminate racism and empower women.
This pipeline of support enables us to provide vital services to the more than 8,000 survivors of violence we serve annually, and provides us the financial flexibility necessary to seize unique and important opportunities for the future of the organization.
Since 1908, YWCA South Hampton Roads has been committed to providing services to women and children in our community. To develop innovative ways of adapting our services to accommodate those in need, we rely on the philanthropic support of our community partners and friends.
Members of the Persimmon Circle, a group of consistent donors who give at least $1,000 per year each year for the “foreseeable future”, will establish our major gift pipeline. Persimmon Circle members are invited to exclusive member gatherings, receive 10% of all YWCA South Hampton Roads events, will be published in the Annual Report, and much more.
