The Conference on R.E.S.T. Racial Equity and Social Transformation is a training ground to navigate the effects of our region's ties to race and racism and discuss how to forge a path toward racial healing and equity.
In partnership with Norfolk State University’s Center for African American Public Policy (CAAmPP), the annual Conference on R.E.S.T ~ Racial Equity and Social Transformation is the ultimate Juneteenth experience: a learning event that serves as a training ground for those interested in learning more and leaning into the effects of injustices and inequities. Our conference offers activating workshops, powerful
keynotes, a celebratory breakfast, and the opportunity to learn, grow and explore race, equity and justice within our own communities.

This year’s theme, We the People, focused on the people who despite being excluded from the US Constitution, managed to not only build our nation but define it. We were able to center their voices, perspectives, and work towards what is needed from all of us, for communities to thrive in today’s constant fight for equity and justice.
